6.2.6. The sensor of temperature of the arriving air

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The sensor of temperature of the arriving air is a thermistor, i.e. its resistance decreases at temperature increase of the sensor.
Models with the 4-cylinder engine and models with the 6-cylinder engine of 1998 of release
2. Check that sensor resistance at the room temperature made about 35,5-39,2 kOhm. Heat the sensor to temperature of 60 °C and check that its resistance decreased to 7–8 Ohms. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.
Models with the 6-cylinder engine of 1993 - 1997 of release
3. Check that sensor resistance at the room temperature made about 2-3 kOhm. Heat the sensor to temperature of 60 °C and check that its resistance decreased to 400–700 Ohms. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
Models with the 4-cylinder engine and models with the 6-cylinder engine of 1998 of release
2. Disconnect the socket of connection of the sensor and unscrew the sensor from a casing of the air filter.
3. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
Models with the 6-cylinder engine of 1993 - 1997 years of release
4. The sensor of air temperature is a part of the sensor of a stream of air and is replaced only together with the air stream sensor.
