3.1.11. Springs of valves, fastenings and laying

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In the SOHC models remove yokes and axes of yokes. In the DOHC models remove camshafts. Remove regulators of gaps from the damaged valves.
2. Unscrew spark plugs from cylinders with faulty valves. If you replace laying of rods of all valves, unscrew all candles.
3. Install the piston of the necessary cylinder in VMT.
4. Twist an adapter in an opening of a spark plug and connect to it a hose of the air compressor.
5. Pump up compressed air in the cylinder, valves will be kept on the place by air pressure.
6. Turn a bent shaft clockwise you will not feel weakness in resistance yet.
7. Squeeze springs of valves by means of the special compressor. Remove conical plugs.
8. Remove a plate springs and a spring of the valve. Remove epiploons of rods of valves.
9. Weaken air pressure in the cylinder.
10. Examine a valve spring on existence of cracks and damages, measure spring length in a free state. Examine a valve rod.
11. Check whether jams a valve rod, and measure a gap between a rod and the directing plug. If necessary the head of cylinders will need to be removed for carrying out repair of valves and guides of plugs.
12. Increase air pressure to close valves.
13. Oil a rod of the valve and establish a new epiploon.
14. Establish a spring and a plate of a spring. Squeeze a spring and install the conical plug.
15. Establish the remained details and check operation of the engine.
